Default Inspiration for toys, please?

It's time for a spring ( well, summer ) cage-spruce-up for me and my hammys. I have got a couple of new cages and have given the others a make over To help kill any syrian hammy boredom and to add some variation to their cages, I would like to make some home-made toys or activities for them. Has anyone done this before and could they give me some inspiration and help as I'm stuck for ideas
Thanks in advance

Just this day my bag of megazorb came and now my 62ltr bin cage is ready for my hamster to go in However i have to admit i too have been stuck as to what things i should put in (other than the nesscessities of course!) to keep my hamster happy and interested but unfortunately everytime i click on a new site for this information whilst researching i always find stuff about the same thing-the nessecessities.
So thanks for putting this up lydia mae as this could realy help me too- unfortunately i cant tell you anything sorry.

There have been a few people from this forum who have made their own hamster toys and have posted their projects. I think they're all wonderful and quite inspiring. Some are excellent for a Syrian.

Pravandi's thread:

Wofunny also made a few toys out of Jenga blocks! You can search Wofunny and Jenga and I'm sure it'll come up.

You can look at this website:
Naturnahe Hamstergehege
She also made a huge hamster cage herself out of Expedit furniture which is interesting to look at. You can get some ideas from there. Wofunny also made an Expedit cage and you can find pictures of that on here. So did Nappo.

And finally a link to a German forum courtesy of Nappo which I saved and occasionally haunt:
