Default maybe someone else can?

Hi guys!
I've been going through my options for making my home-made cage from a furniture and been doing some searching for some furniture to convert and found this!!!! Solid teak bookcase with shelves & sliding glass doors on eBay (end time 14-May-11 13:49:15 BST)

It is perfect! 220cm wide which would be ideal for my 4 syrians to be in (of corse each would have their own part!!!), + it has the sliding doors already which I was so scared about doing the most! You'd just need to do the ventilation on this and plasticote it and ... what a lucky bunch of hammies!

But my problem is - It is just a tad too big to put in my flat and my husband is very against it.

But hopefully one of you would be able to do this????

It looks nice. What about all the IKEA suggestions floating around--I think they have smaller cases to work with for you.

yes, I have the expedit on the way and I have one old cabinet of the right dimensions with glass doors in place so I'm sorted. But this would have housed all of my Syrians no problem! But it is just too long for me

I think thats a fab idea! I love it how clever and creative everyone is with turning furniture into hammie homes!

... But just imagine the persons face when you turn up to collect their prize teak cabinet which has been in the family for generations and now sadly they have to part with it, ........ and we all say we're turning it into a hamster habitat!!! Heheheee!! I've just really made myself laugh!! Sorry! Heeheehee

yes, I know! but it was perfect! Just a tad too big for me - only if I had a bigger flat/house! It went so cheaply, too!!!!
