Making a playpen?
I'm wanting a playpen for Phoebe but looking at the reviews for them online they all say they're too small for syrians, especially ones who climb, and Phoebe is a climber! So I was wondering if I could make one myself, any ideas?

Re: Making a playpen?
You could make one from cardboard? I used boxes and tied them together with string

Re: Making a playpen?
Glad I spotted this thread as I`m planning to make a playpen from cardboard boxes aswell! The reason I prefer solid sided walls is because I once used those multi-coloured barred pens that you can buy online and one of my gerbils broke his tooth by chewing on the bars and got a fright, pulled away and the damage was done. So making your own from cardboard or correx is much better. It`s also free!

Re: Making a playpen?
I like the string idea, but you can also overlap the cardboard and clip it together with strong bulldog clips perhaps? The string would keep it attached permenantly though for folding up.

Re: Making a playpen?
Cardboard is the way forward!
I only had to make a cardboard wall as the corner the robo's are has no gaps, which saves hassle, just slip it under my bed when I'm not using it
It's naff I know, but using corners and furniture make good barricades x

Re: Making a playpen?
That looks brill Shazza! I`ve got two boxes in so far but want three more as I want my cardboard `run` to be big enough for me to sit inside it while Boris plays around me. Bonding and all that
