Hey! At the weekend my sister got married!!!! I travelled up for the day, and got there with minutes to spare as one train was cancelled and the next one was delayed! I got to the registry office just as the bridal car pulled in - oops! It was a very hot day! I have some photos from the day to share with you all *I have permission to share these*

I couldn't take many during the ceromony, as I was sitting near the back and my phone needed charging! When it got to signing the register bit no one is allowed to take photos (no idea why!) and once they'd done that they gave them a fake register with a pen which had no ink in for them to pose with so people could take photos - that bit made no sense to me!

Afterwards we all went into the garden of the registry office for some photos. We all got to throw confetti over the bride and groom (at which point I made a joke about having always wanted to throw things at my sister!)

Here is my sister, her new husband and his family with their flower girl and bridesmaid - I took a couple like this before realizing I couldn't see the people at the back. But when I moved so I could the sun got in the way!!

This was my sister's flowers. Even though they were not real I still tried smelling them ...

The bride and groom (this is probably my favorite photo from all the ones I took!)

Here they are by the car before going to the recpetion

Once we got to the recpetion I managed to charge my phone! I took a photo of their wedding cake - it looks green due to the lighting!

I didn't get many others at the reception. It wasn't a "normal" recetion with speeches and stuff. It was a buffet in the back room of a pub, and they also had very loud music and these kind of disco light things. As I don't get on too well with lots of noise and it was very hot, I sat outside (most of the guests did) and chatted to a couple of people. I made two new friends which was nice It was a lovely day and I didn't get home until almost midnight!!!!

What a very happy looking couple pinkneon. Warmest congratulations to your sister and husband. What a trek for you but you made it! Lovely photos you took and I agree about your favourite, it's a great one! Interesting theme for the decor on the cake!

Yes the cake was a little odd! When I first walked in I only saw the Batman bit and was like "a Batman cake? Really?!" But then I saw the rest lol. He really loves Batman!

Hey! I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine! The weather here has been crazy - we had almost 2 weeks of rain, but it brightened up last Thursday and as been sunny and hot ever since.
At the weekend we had our Pride festival (it's no longer called "Gay Pride" as it is inclusive of EVERYBODY, whether striaght or part of the LGBTQ+ community). Brighton has the UK's biggest Pride festival, and as usual the city was heaving with people for the entire weekend. I only took a couple of photos during the parade on Saturday, as I ended up filming it all. But I did get some other photos over the weekend that I would like to share too. This year was bigger than ever, mainly because we were celebrating 50 years since being gay was decriminalised, so of course it was a very special event.

Firstly, a couple from the parade

We were watching the parade from a bus stop, which had been painted especially for Pride!

After the parade it rained for a whole 5 minutes before the sun came back out. However, rain would not have stopped the celebrations! My housemate and I were then going to go to the after party in one of the parks, but she had run off with her friend, so I spent an hour or so getting some lunch and then walking around the shopping mall. I then popped home to charge my phone, before going out again.
In some of the more local parks there were lots of free events happening across the entire weekend. On Friday evening there was a huge S-Club party, however we missed this as we didn't know what time it was supposed to start! On Saturday I went to one of the parks and had a couple of drinks and listened to the music. I didn't venture to the back of the park (over 18's only) until the Sunday evening when there was cabaret and a disco. The whole weekend ended with fireworks that we watched from the pier, but they were set off from a boat in the middle of the sea!! I have some photos from the park taken on Saturday and Sunday, as well as some of the cabaret, disco and fireworks for you all.

First off, the fountain in the park. I took several photos of it, mainly as I have never taken photos of it before! LOL

Next, there was a giant deckchair just inside the entrance of the park. I have included the photo of me that someone else took, to show you how big it is (I was't quite ready when they took the photo, which is why my arms are like that!)

(I shall post the rest later, when I get back from my appointment)

Sorry for posting the rest of these so late, my appointments took longer than planned!

Next, we have some photos from the cabaret. It was such good fun!
This lady was called Miss Kimberley. She is from America, and so so funnny! She sang some songs, and got right up into the crowd. Because of the lighting, and the fact I was zoomed in, the photos aren't great

Next we had my favorite act of the night. They were called "The Sex Shells", and did some great songs. Some of the songs were based on songs from Abba, but they changed some of the words slightly. The women in their group plays the keyboard and calls herself "That women Rosie", and she sang a couple of songs too

After that came three dancers - I didn't catch their names!

And finally this lady - I also didn't catch her name! She was funny too, and also sang some songs as well as told some jokes

I also took some photos inside that party tent. Here is the disco ball and the stage

This was the entrance to the smaller parks. They called it "The Pleasure Gardens"

The weekend ended with some fireworks. The leaflet said the fireworks were "near the pier" so we stood on the pier. In actual fact the fireworks were let off a boat in the middle of the sea!!

And finally, this was quite interesting. I took this mainly because I wanted the lights next to the Pride flags on the pier, but I noticed the words were reflected! No idea what on, as above them is nothing but sky, but thought I'd show you anyhow!

Today I saw my sister, her husband and their friends. They all came down here for the day so I went to meet them. We walked along the seafront and the pier, and then they all went paddling in the (freezing!) sea whilst I sat and guarded the stuff! Here are a few pictures. It was a funny day in terms of the weather. One minute hot and sunny with blue sky, the next cold and gray and very windy! By the time they went into the sea it was SO windy that I thought I'd get blown away!! Anyway, here are some photos for you all ...

So whilst I was waiting for them to find a parking space I saw this funny guy by the pier. There are lots of characters there but this one amazes me because I can never work out how on earth he is floating!!!

We also met Darth Vadar ...

And Pikachu! Me and my sister had our picture taken with Pikachu and he kept going "Pikaaaaaa" really loudly in my ear!!

Then we saw this guy with his sand sculptures. The only reason I took a picture was because our beach doesn't have sand so it was a little odd to see!

Here was another funny guy. Actually, he was scary! He sat very still until you went near and then he moved and scared the life out of me! The second guy wasn't actually real. I touched it and it felt like maybe it was made out of paper or something!

And finally, they parked their car near this statue. I've never actually walked that far up from the pier before (ok, it wasn't that far!) so it was nice to see it
