Hamster Blog?

Hello! I am curious if anyone on here has a hamster blog. I would like to start one soon to keep track of and just generally write about and post pictures of my little babe and whatever DIY's I do for him (Like my LACK cage I'm working on). I wanted to start a youtube, but I don't think I will as I am not very experienced with video-ing yet and prefer writing and pictures, but I am open to posting videos on the blog. My question here is, what platform do any of you recommend? I have a tumblr that I use for gereral nonsense and reblogging and thought about making a secondary one for hamster stuffs, but I don't like exactly how it is set up that I can't write "blog" posts persay. I have never used any other blogging websites though, so I don't even know what is out there. I would like something easily accessible to everyone (as family and friends would love to keep watch on it). Any suggestions would be helpful, I would like something customizable though as I do dabble in graphics and love making art.

Tumblr isn't great for words, I post pictures on tumblr and post all the words here lol Wordpress is a good suggestion, make sure and keep us updated

I see that you've opted for Wordpress which is a great choice.

Wordpress can be so easy to customise with so many different themes and they can then be altered further with changes to the CSS and the like. After having tried several content management systems, I've found Wordpress to be the most straightforward and now use them for most of my sites.

Thank you so much! I'm still getting use to wordpress but it does seem like the best choice indeed. I like that it's simple and i really didn't have to do much to get it ready.
