Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
I bought silver gel pens from the works, think they were about a pound for 5. I got some really nice paper called 'my minds eye' for one of my scrapbooks (although my books need backing papers because they're purely for scrapbooking, so have clear wallets not pages)
How much did your letters cost? I've always cut mine out freehand because I can't afford them, but yours look awesome
I hope it's theraputic, I've always found it really great. I have a scrapbook for my relationship (made for my OH for our second christmas) and one for my school days
I started a hamster one, but never got it done.
I think it'd help with my two losses (from before christmas) so thank you for the inspiration.
Here's my front cover

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
Ah yes I thought about getting an album with wallets, but in The Range they were £15, and I only wanted to spend about that all together...so I just got a sketchbook with heavyweight pages with seems to do the job
The letters were £2 for a pack. You get about 4 of each letter, so will do a few names. Some of the other letters were double that though
Your cover looks really good, I like the different layers. You should pick it up again cos I'm really feeling positive about doing it

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
I started my first scrapbook when I was 16, completely got rid of every page I did and didn't even finish it until I was 18, it's the scrapbookers curse, that you never get it done on time.
Those are cheap letters, I've seen packs with one of every letter and only duplicates of vowels going for like £3.50! and You've done well if you got all that for £15.
Keep this thread updated, would love to watch it progress ^.^

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
Lol well this will be ongoing as it'll be updated when each hammy passes
And I actually ended up spending £20 but near enough I did get some scallop cutting scissors and some glue too
Gizmodo you should give it a go, I've never tried it before either and am just going by what I think looks ok together

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
I'm planning something like that, but I don't know exactly what yet.
Decided a while back that I want to keep something with the best photos of each ham (printed instead of joining the loads on the computer), a sentence (or three) about them, and the info that doesn't really matter once they've gone but that I'd like anyway, so DOB (or the estimation), when we got them, when they passed, maybe even size/weight if I can get them for all the hams.
Am hoping I don't need to have the plans finalised too soon anyway though. Skip might be showing possible signs of age but he isn't aging much so I'm being optimistic about him, and Muffin, Scamp and the russians are under a year anyway. Whizz is estimated at 13 months but thats not too old yet, even if I don't trust the estimations thanks to Skip supposedly being the same age lol

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
I think you may have started something Shazzy! Funnily enough, I was looking around "Paperchase" the other day, trying to find reasons to buy more stuff (I just love all the bright colours in there, and so many teeny tiny things, it draws me in ) - there were stickers too, but I had no reason to get any
quick look on the website:
wobble heart stickers at Paperchase
lucky girl stickers at Paperchase
heads up plastic scrapbook at Paperchase
I want!!!
Suga - great idea with wallpaper; I like looking at that anyway, even when I'm not decorating lol - maybe you could also use wrapping paper (even used bits if they have smooth areas that you could cut shapes from?)

Re: Hamster scrapbook :)
I make all my own cards so am constantly on the look out for a bargain. Have craft supply coming out of my ears. If spare backing papers are needed shout my way as i have lots. Wrapping paper is a good plan and free stuff from magazines etc. Never tried scrap booking myself but msybe.....
