Re: Cross Stitching
I started to make a cross stitch with a thistle on it - which I was/am going to sew together and then fill with lavender for my grandmother. I wanted to make her something she could smell and touch as she doesn't see so well. I started before November and did the first part but then had to start using white thread in the pattern which was completely impossible to see. Also I don't have anything to keep it tight when stitching so its a little difficult to handle. I think i need to invest in a hoop type thing to hold it in so I can get it completed.
Will pick one up this week and try and get some more done whilst this holiday period conntinues for another week.
Thanks for the prompt Starlight

Re: Cross Stitching
Here are the only two I have left from when I moved.. I used to have a massive tinkerbell with gold thread but no idea where she has gone..

Re: Cross Stitching
Oh I bet it's beautiful I can't use the metallic thread, I never seem to be able to keep the tension.
