Default Chinese coming back to Northern region

I was pleased to see that Chinese were making a comeback at the Northern Show today. We had a reasonable sized class with a couple of babies for sale which I nearly came home with myself!

They were so nice but we have to limit numbers and want more syrians so resisted. Maybe next year

There were quite a few at the Hamsoc show as well. I like them but yeah they're way down on the list of animals I'd like to keep......roll on graduation I'm going to have a rodent zoo!!

Just what i was thinking!!! oh wait, im part of one.. teehee. well if you ever want something unusual rodent wise.. i could probably get it if we dont have it already

I like chinese, they are funny and long. I have also found that the males in particular tame up incredibly well and end up far tame than even a syrian!!.. or ours always did anyway until my college killed of our boy

Our male really pined once his two girlies passed on (he was still pretty young) and we couldnt locate a breeder of chinese and hated the idea of buying the sickly looking mites at P@H so we were thinking about what to do when the daft ham escaped over night and after hours of searching we found him curled up in the nest between his next door neighbours.....

A pair of gerbils!! he got on well with the gerbils and some how kept squishing out his cage (lordi knows how!! 1cm wire mesh and it was nailed down, no way to lift the lid!) to join the gerbils, even when we put the gerbs cage down a shelf and alond a few cages!!! we caught him squishing himself into the gerbs cage once!! so there he lived for a few months!

I can't believe you two didn't meet each other properly and after I told you too that Emma was going to be there and had volunteered to help out pen stewarding Now I am all jealous I used to have Chinese colonies but their space was slowly taken up with Roborovski rescues and now I have none - I said I wouldn't have any Campbells for a while after clearing the decks this year - but hey that lasted less than 6 months
