He really is the sweetest little guy, he actually got up a bit earlier yesterday evening & stayed up later this morning so I've been able to enjoy his company even more

It's good to see him again I laughed at the gross wheel, Artie wins the award here for the grossest wheel lol, everyone else grew out of it or never really pee'd in their wheel. I never understand why on earth he wants to take a nap in his wheel between runs when it's so horrible lol.

It's funny that he's quick to take the nuts from you but doesn't bother if it's something else he obviously has very discerning tastes. He looks so sweet in the video sitting there nibbling away under his tunnel, feels like I'm spying on him lol

Awww he does look sweet in that log nibbling away! It's a perfect little cave for him. Sounds as though he is lazy, rather than shy, if he happily sits and eats in your hand. A rather expensive solution would be investing in a night vision security camera which you can record or live stream from your phone on. I don't need one for Mushu as he keeps very civilised hours for me, but I bought one anyway because who can resist seeing even more of what their hamster gets up to?

I feel like I'm spying on him in the tunnel too, I don't think he realises I can see him
I think he's not so food motivated in the evening, the wheel seems to be the most important thing once he's got up & had a groom whereas in the morning he wants a snack to take back to bed with him

A night camera would be great April, it's been on my shopping list forever & might well stay that way as I always seem to go over budget on too many other things for them!

Maybe he heard me saying I hardly see him & took pity on me lol! He was the first of the boys up yesterday evening & still up again this morning so I've seen more of him in the last few days than the last few weeks
We've had some nice chats & he's been stocking up on those seeds

Zylvan is soo cute! He doesn't show much, but he tries hard to look his best when he does!

I have the impression that dwarf/chineses are dirtier than syrians, am I wrong? I'm always reading about them peeing in their wheel or anywhere else, maybe they are more man-hams and they really need to mark everything lol
