Re: Everything Zen
Awww she looks so sweet in the pics and video Maybe not so sweet though if she's kicking sand in your face, especially after you made he such a nice sandbath Boris decided to kick all the sand out his birdbath yesterday. I'm standing there going "don't do that Boris" while I tried to push it back in. He stopped and looked at me then pushed some back in lol. They're funny with their sandbaths
Are the yellow ledges in her cage lava ledges? Here I am looking to steal more ideas from you
The "leave my fitch alone" face is well known here too

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks for the belated Birthday wishes Serendipity & Drago, I'll be sure to pass them on
She does seem to enjoy her cage a lot Drago, it's the Marchioro Kevin 82, my favourite cage in that size range, you can just get so much more into it somehow, I wish I could have got more but it's only available in the US now.
Thanks BP, they are funny with their sand, Zeki does that too & I have been known to stand there catching it in a saucer as he kicks it out
The ledges are lava ledges yes, a bit expensive but very handy for filling a gap or making things easier to reach without climbing the bars! I think they might help just a little with trimming nails too if they use them often enough.

Re: Everything Zen
Zen looks so teeny tiny in her sand bath. You know, what I really love about Chinese hams are their tails. Her hammock looks as though it is being used as a store/bed. Must be very comfy to sleep in! I am convinced Mushu would use one as a toilet just to be perverse!

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks Lizzy, April & SKB
A couple of food, glorious food! vids today
I'm still really surprised how much she loves her millet sprays considering she has a fair bit of millet in her mix but she can't seem to get enough of them

Yesterday I gave them all some butternut squash, not sure they've even had it before so I thought it would make a nice special treat but all Zen wanted was to find her tofu!

Re: Everything Zen
Aww Zen is cute as ever. I especially love how much she loves millet! I gave Mushu a millet spray weeks ago and so far he hasn't touched it. Well, that's not true. It moves mysteriously around his cage at night, as though he is looking for a place to put it. When I put it in his bowl, it usually ends up as far away from his house and bowl as hamsterly possible! No eating of the millet yet, though...

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks April Millet isn't often a big hit with syrians it's mostly dwarf hams that love those tiny seeds.

Re: Everything Zen
Yes I have heard that. But Mushu does love flaxseeds and hemp so I thought he might like the millet spray. His log chew toy which is stuffed with millet and dried carrot is a hit... Maybe he just cba to pick all the seeds off of the little stick!

Re: Everything Zen
Aww Zen is just so cute, very dainty but not so ladylike when she's is standing in one bowl to eat from the other lol.
She looks to be having lots of fun with the millet spray. I was going to order some from zooplus, it was in stock one day but then out of stock the next day when I went to order it. I was disappointed, it's back in stock now but I'll need to wait until I have enough stuff to order so I don't have to pay P&P
