Re: Everything Zen
I had a good chuckle at your description of Zen trying to catch the waving end. It must have been priceless to watch!

Re: Everything Zen
Aww I did giggle with Zen trying too catch the moving end bit, and I had a huge smile on my face at her racing round her cage and then onto your hands - absolute bliss!
I really do like your spooky ham garden.

Re: Everything Zen
Thanks Coco & Lizzy
There was no racing around yesterday, she was so intent on enjoying her sprout garden I was pretty much surplus to requirements & she just got well stuck in

Re: Everything Zen
She is so adorable, enjoyed watching her get stuck in to her sprouts, she was really going for it The video of her on her favourite perch came on after so I watched that too, something was grabbing her attention between nibbles lol.

Re: Everything Zen
She's sooo cute. It's better a video with bad lighting that no video at all And I also took a look at the perch one. She's adorable. I love how she grabs the bars, and she looks so tiny. I have a thing for tiny hams hehe
Thanks for the link above. I've wanted to do something like that since I had seen yours, unfortunately I can't get the mix that you were using at the beginning, but lately I've been thinking that maybe I can try to grow some lentils or other seeds as I did in the school when I was little. Do you think that it will be safe?

Re: Everything Zen
Lentils would be fine Hamsterita, I've never done them (yet!) but lots of the Germans do, other things you could try are millet (usually sold for birds) & some of your sunflower seeds, in the shell, just soak them in cold water for about 8 hours then plant them & they grow quicker & better.
You might be able to get individual seeds that are in the hamster mix we buy or I could send you some if you like, just PM me if you'd like some.
Zen was sweet in that perch video, she was listening so intently, not much distracts her from her seeds lol! Just after that she came back, sniffed the camera, ran up my arm & sat on my shoulder... now try & film me

Re: Everything Zen
Aww that's so adorable Zen sniffing the camera as if to say ' you can't get any pics with this next move' and running up your arm to your shoulder is so blooming lovely.
She's such a brave and confident girl.
So love her!

Re: Everything Zen
Zen looks so sweet enjoying her new sprout garden in the pictures and video - so cute that she tried catching the waving tip of one of the sprouts. Everytime I see Zen really enjoying her sprout I think I must grow some for Pumpkin to see what she thinks but I yet haven't grown any so I must remember to grow some this time.

Re: Everything Zen
Zen was having a marathon digging session in her sand bath yesterday evening & I got a few photos to share.
Busy digging, I just filled it up & as you can see it's almost empty already, I think she really needs a deeper bigger bath if only I can think of something that might fit!
Having a break & looking cute
Just checking no one (mum!) has been messing with her burrow!
Chilling out with some seeds after all her hard work
