What a lovely name I also would love to know how you found the right name for him.
Would you like me to alter the thread title to add his name?

If you would Vectis, thanks, this thread has gone on longer than I expected so I think we should make it Zeki's thread now!
As for his name, I had quite a few in mind but have always liked names beginning with Z, no idea why lol! & was thinking something Chinese, maybe or maybe not... got down to a short list of Zhen, Zhi & Zeth, none of which worked for us so then it was Zhenzhi, hmmm not really, Zenzi... a bit better... then looking at his sweet cheeky face Zeki just popped into my head & that was it
I did look it up to see if it was actually a word & it's Turkish for intelligent or clever so he has something to live up to now!
He's been a bit of a home boy, I didn't even see him yesterday evening just heard lots more noises from the house but he's obviously been out & about in the night, he took a while to wake up this morning but when he did I lifted the lid on his house again & he was in the little room at the back but soon crept out to see me & was quite happy to climb right onto my hand so he got a little reward for being so brave
Can't wait to see him out in the open more & hopefully get some photos but I'm not going to rush him, early days yet but lots to look forward to

I've usually got a few names in mind when I'm planning a new addition and it's always nice when a name suddenly pops into your head when looking at them. I remember the moment I set eyes on James when I picked him up, I just said to myself "He's a James".
It's a very cute name and I'm sure he'll live up to it's meaning.

re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Zeki is still not coming out into the cage until after I go to bed, he's happy enough taking a treat & walking right onto my hand if I lift his roof up or right off, it's only been a few days so I'm not concerned but it has been a bit of a hassle making it awkward to get to him & really get him used to me & my hands so we had a bit of a change around in the cage this morning, he hid in the substrate so I had to be careful not to squash him!
The big house came out, shame as we both like that one but maybe he can have it back at some point, & a smaller labyrinth house went in instead.
It seems to have gone quite well so far, managed to rearrange things & a little nose poked out so I gave him the treat I had to hand then he came right out to explore a little & pouch a few seeds of course!
Just grabbed one quick shot for now.
Just a bit closer.
