Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
I really have to get a camera set up to film Zeki at night, he's been having so much fun in his sand bath, sand everywhere by morning lol! & I'm missing it all!
Makes mental note to keep the normal camera within reach too, he was so cute a couple of nights ago & of course I didn't have camera to hand.
He'd finally finished the monkey nut he had from day one (I found where he was hiding it & was keeping check!) so I decided to give him another as it's lasted about two & a half weeks.
Every ham I ever had has just grabbed a monkey nut & run off to hide it somewhere safe but when I gave him his (I'd made a tiny hole in the end) he just sat there nibbling the nut while I held it, so sweet

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
That's so adorable Cypher about the monkey but, night cameras a must for the stunning Zeki, I so want to watch him in his sand bath. That seems to happen, they look so cute and you don't have your camera.
2 & a half weeks to eat a monkey nut, what a little sweetheart.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Wheel races again yesterday
It's funny how different they sound in their wheels, Whisper lives up to her name while Zeki is much more heavy footed about it! Still gets up on helluva speed though, I have to try & video that!
Bonding sessions have been a bit erratic lately, he's had a few extra late nights again & I've been distracted with Mickle so not very consistent but we had some nice time together yesterday evening although my boy racer was really far more interested in his wheel than me!
Managed to stop him in his tracks long enough for a couple of shots
Big wheel!
A bit closer just because he's so gorgeous
Coming out to see what Mum's up to.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Zeki is such a handsome chappie. Lovely photos cypher The more I see the silent runner wheel, the more I think I might have to get one. They look fab. Does the front just pop off for cleaning?

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Thanks both, I'll pass the compliments on
Velma, the running track just fits into a slot around the rim, front & back, on the silent runner, no fiddly bits just pull the front off, pull the track out from the back piece, it can get a little stuck with a weeks pee in there lol! but still very easy to take apart & put back together again.

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Just cleaned my Silent Runner after the big cage clean and it was really easy. Yes my track had got slightly welded to the back panel with stuck on wee (urgh!) But it had soaked off in a couple of minutes. Once you've taken it apart and put it back together a couple of times it's easy - you just need to press firmly. No spindles or pins or anything. Also because the holes in the front are quite large it's easy just to put your hand in and give it a wipe round inside, so you don't need to take it apart every time. They are light and spin really well! And quietly.
Zeki is looking gorgeous on those photos! Glad he loves his wheel. He was clearly savouring his Monkey nut!

Re: Zeki's Thread - new man in my life
Little Zeki has grown into a really handsome man! Boy racer indeed! I too like the fencing, such a good idea. I keep having to check Mocho's wheel nightly because he still heaps up Fitch outside his new house even though there is no window now. It spills towards the wheel and risks jamming it!
