Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
She's not stressed out, she eats good but I think she has good genetics

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
I love the pale pink bedding. Very pretty. I gave all my girl hamsters some pink carefresh, but it is a lot darker than yours.
Izzy is lovely. Hope I age that well!

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Haha FF, me too:
Izzy isn't aging at all??? I put her in a 15 gal tank today
& got rid of her bin cage. She had the same amount of room with 6 in of bedding.
I didn't realize that the tank would have given her an upright wheel. For a year she has been in a bin that didn't have a flat base. Now she's running on the wheel while I'm right in front of her standing by her tank. In dim lighting. She has never done that before.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
She must be excited to have a proper wheel! Sounds as though she'll enjoy her new tank.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Her cage is in my bedroom, the only hammie in my bedroom. She is quiet and has a Silent Spinner that's a year old with no squeaking. So far so good

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
She seems happier in her new 15 gal tank. I didn't even arrange the toys for her. I knew that she would arrange them on her own. She had a big pile of chew toys mostly and now they are in their perfect spot according to Izzy
Too bad that she still nips if my hand lingers a little longer after sunflower seeds are gone. She's done this since I've had her. Maybe if I had her in a taming bin would be less likely to bite. But she is about 3 yrs old so a taming bin might be a little stressful. Just with I could handle her. Oh well she's still fun to watch in the evenings.

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Today is Izzy's one year anniversary with me. I bought her on Easter & today isn't Easter. Have to wait about 3 more weeks for Easter. Seems strange to me?? Anyways she's still going strong
She's 3 years old now

Re: Easter Chinese Rescue
Wow! She's a good age . Happy adoptaversary!
Easter follows the Lunar calendar, not the Gregorian calendar like most countries do, which is why it changes date every year. The Lunar calendar is longer or shorter than the Gregorian calendar - can't remember which. Hope this helps .
