It's so typical of Jess really. I think she'd probably bury everything if she could.
At the moment the pram sand bath goes in her play bin and there's another one in her cage but I'm wishing I'd have put something else in her cage as she's kicked the sand out. It's all over her platform and out of her cage onto the floor of the hamster room.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
I had to deal with sand all over the place too in the past and it's a pain.
If you have the room to put a round jar on her cage maybe that would solve the problem (like this one FĂ–RVAR Bote con tapa - IKEA)

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
It may be a bit big for her cage but I've found this one to work really well, for some reason I've found Chineseys love round sand baths & it does keep most of the sand in too.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Since I posted a couple of months ago asking for advice on various wheels for Jessie, we've tried a couple of options including the cheapo plastic thing that was Henry's, one we borrowed off of Vectis, the Silent Spinner and the Flying Saucer. Just recentely she's had the Silent Spinner in her cage but last night it decided that it'd had enough and broke. It was secondhand when we had it so it's done us fairly well but we're now quite short on wheels and I'm now going to need to purchase two instead of just the one for James.
I still can't get hold of the Wodent Wheel and I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to source one so I'm going to have to think of a suitable alternative.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
There seems to be a bit of a shortage of decent wheels right now, I've been looking for a Karlie wonderland wheel but the only ones available are a crazy price with delivery!

What about silent runners? I find them really quiet.

The only reason I've not gone for the Silent Runner is the cost but if I'd have to pay over the odds to import a decent wheel then I may end up buying one.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Jessie's been housekeeping again... She's cleared most of the substrate from one end of her cage and built it up around her wheel. She's ripping up tissue to add to her already stuffed hammock and we still have the contents of her sand bath everywhere.
She's being a complete pickle at the moment but at least we never have a dull moment when she's around.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Someone is being a bit of a pickle lately but she's perfected the cute and innocent look...
Ready to play after a cosy snooze.
Someone can get herself into some daft positions...
