Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
lol! Jessie, I really don't think you need any more caffeine
Chineseys do vary a fair bit in size so maybe she is just meant to be a tiny, delicate little lady!
As long as she's eating well & getting that extra bit of protein I'm sure running in a wheel will do her good & she'll do any growing or putting on weight she needs to do all the same.

Ohh nooo! Jessie's on decaf only. She doesn't need any more excuses for being completely nuts!
Her Flying Saucer has proven to be a little awkward in her cage so I've put the Silent Spinner in for now and she's loving it. So far she's not been flung off of it despite really going for it so perhaps I was being a little bit over-protective.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
I'm glad she's enjoying her wheel now
I've had a few hams fly out of their wheels when they first start using them, it is a bit scary but they do soon seem to get the hang of it!

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
As I mentioned in James's thread, I set up a little sniffing exercise for them at playtime the other day in which I filled one small box with seeds and left two empty to see how long it would take them to find the one with the treasure. They were both excellent at it, identifying the box with the seeds in less than a minute.
Here's Jessie's photo and Jessie being the cheeky monkey that she is decided to climb inside the box to get the seeds out...

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Here's a few of Jessie that I uploaded the other day but didn't get around to posting.
Nibbling on a mealworm...
Sitting in her sand...
Showing off her handiwork (ie mess)...
This morning I came down to find even more of a mess and that she'd filled her wheel with Fitch too - someone's clearly been busy.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Great photos, I love seeing them hold things in their little paws for a nibble, it's so cute!
She looks very sweet in the sand & that last one is funny, she looks so innocent next to her little fitch mountain bless her, she should be proud of all that hard work!

She's very good at looking innocent but I said to her this morning that it couldn't have been anyone but her that made all that mess.
James's cage is all nice and tidy and this is how Jessie's looks at the moment...

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
lol! nice work Jessie
Maybe it's a bit of a girl thing, Zeki's cage never looks half as messy as Whispers either!
