Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
I thought that about Jessie Jaye being named after the singer. I prefer your version of spelling.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
I can't believe how lively this girl is. I'll put her in a Duna Multy for playtime and she's just on the go all the time. She's a super good climber and loves her sand bath.
Unfortunately it's making taming a little bit harder as she just wants to run around but we'll get there. The world is very exciting when you're eight weeks old.
She responds to my voice and will come to the edge of her tank when called which May used to do (actually May would be there before you called her name if she knew you were there but there you go).
Despite looking cute, I'm not sure as yet whether I will be showing Jessie. She's a bit young at the moment anyway so we'll just have to see how she is when she grows up.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
Jessie was allowed to play with May's old hammock today and she loved it. I was a bit concerned that she'd nibble at it because she's been through a bit of a nibbly phase but thankfully she didn't so it looks promising for her to have one in her cage once she's upgraded. Fuzzbutts are also working on some Homer products too so it's perfect timing.
In other news, I've been getting Jessie to climb out of her Sports Direct mug on to my hand and into her playpen but today instead of hopping straight off, she walked across my hands.

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
She didn't do quite so well yesterday but we'll get there. May was the same, she'd take one step forward and then would take a step back every so often. It took several months to get to the stage where I'd have called her tame but I wanted to earn her trust and that meant going at her pace.

Baby steps for baby hams! Sounds like she's doing really well, good to hear she can experience the joy of fuzzbutts too!

Re: The Honourable Jessie Jaye of Metallica
I had to do some housekeeping in Jessie's cage so I put her in the show box I'd got out ready for tomorrow and honestly, you'd think the world was coming to an end with the fuss she made about it. She was rattling the front wire, climbing on it, banging her biscuit. Needless to say I won't be putting her in a show pen for a while.
I can't put a hammock in Jessie's tank cage as I was hoping as the mesh is too fine to be able to hang anything from it. She'll have to enjoy them at playtime for now. I actually 'won' £5 off at Fuzzbutts through an Instagram competition so I'll look forward to choosing something for them to enjoy.
