These are the ones we use and although they're a UK based company, it should give you an idea on what could work.

Both of mine adore sunflower hearts and pumpkin seeds but they're also partial to a bit of millet, particularly if you leave it on the spray.

Both of mine live in 64L Really Useful Boxes and that suits them quite well and providing she's not too skittish and nervous then she's probably fine where she is providing she has lots of places to hide and retreat to.

Chineseys really do steal your heart don't they and those are beautiful photos. She really is a little stunner.
Okay! Perfect. Once she is out of quarantine I'll get it for her (as it's wood and wood is notoriously hard to sanitize...!). Okay perfect - those work. This was the type I was thinking of:

but either would work. Was about to say I could make her a couple... but then I'd be changing things up on her! Do they like things staying in the same places too?

Okay perfect - she certainly hides a lot and likes to stay hidden but she's not as skittish as I would have thought. Her foster mum obviously did a good job with her. I will have to get some more spray millet - I haven't had any in a while!

Thank you so much. We all appreciate your help.

Some can be quite particular about things being in the right place and my May certainly is! My James on the other hand is a bit more easy going with where I put things so it depends on their personality really.

If you were to make a couple of hammocks then you'll have one spare for when the other is in the wash. I really need to buy a couple more for my two as May gets upset when I have to take hers out to wash it but Fuzzbutts sell out so quickly.

Haha, okay, well I guess I will learn soon! Any advice on reading body language? I can with my Syrians but Pumpkin seems a bit more secretive about how she is feeling, hah. I have a few of Pumpkin's old house things in my freezer (terrified of mites so they'll be staying there for a few more days!) so will give her those soon.

Okay! I might make two then. The 64L isn't super tall but I imagine I can sort out a way to string them up. I meshed 3 sides of them so one side I can put nice deep bedding and not have it fall out.

I suppose it just takes time to get to know them and what is normal behaviour for them. I guess it's probably a similar story with getting to know a Syrian and understanding their body language.

Sorry I'm not much help with that one. My two are so different that what is normal behaviour for one would be a concern in the other.

Congratulations Hekomi on your Chinese ham - love the name Miss Little Pumpkin Spice Latte!
Have you got a nickname for her?

Love the new photos, she is just so adorable
I think she'd enjoy that wooden toy too, looks like fun for a chinese!
I use the same hammocks, corner crushes & snooze cubes that Fluffagrams posted the link too, all are very popular, anything similar could work, a nice dark cosy place to hang out, I usually put some substrate or shredded tissue in mine & hide some of the food in there for them to forage for although Zephyr used to collect up her food & take it to her hammock to eat herself.
If the space seems a bit too much for her in her bin I find just filling it with simple things like cardboard egg boxes work really well, another nice place to hide out, forage & they sometimes like to chew on them too. Coconuts make great little hideouts for them too.
Favourite seeds with mine tend to be things like flax, hemp, perilla & millet but they do enjoy the larger seeds too, pumpkin is a big favourite. Just like any other species they have individual likes & dislikes too so I'm sure you'll find out soon enough & she should do fine with your own mix I would think.
As for body language I do find being so long it's actually easier to see if they are a bit nervous as they tend to flatten themselves & stretch out rather than readily just going to something, it's quite clear to see, otherwise if they are nervous they just tend to hide, mostly I've found mine to be timid but brave at the same time if that makes sense!

I haven't yet gotten her the wooden toy - she's only just out of quarantine. We plan to make her that little hammock. I'm going to try some of those seeds Cypher and see how she likes them!

She's done really well the past few days. Here are some photos from our Valentines shoot today.

Walnut om nom

Looking braver!

Are these petals for me?

Can I help you?

I'll be cute for walnuts!

A wink for the handsome James

I am a slinky

Stalking the petals...!

OMG what utterly fantastic photographs. The one with her little paws together is just *sigh* incredible.
