Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
I've been a bit concerned about James's teeth lately and I felt it best that I got a vet's opinion on what's going on. Of course me being me, I booked an 8:30 appointment on my day off tomorrow without realising I'd be giving up my lie in. On the plus side though it means that James will be able to come home and snuggle up in his bed afterwards and get a good rest before it's get up time.

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
I've already seen on your insta account that he had his tooth removed. What happened to him? I hope he is ok now!
You're such a good mom! Giving up your lie in for your baby!

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
He was only meant to be having his teeth trimmed but unfortunately my usual vet wasn't there and the vet we saw decided to clip his teeth with him conscious rather than sedate him and use a burring tool. During the procedure one of his bottom teeth fell out and the other broke off. I've seen some growth already in the tooth that broke but don't know as yet whether the missing tooth will grow back.
He was such a brave boy but was off his normal food for two days so I treated him to a bit of chicken which he happily gobbled up.
He's back to his normal self now.

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
Sounds like quite an ordeal, poor James. Is that a common thing that can happen with teeth trimming?

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
Wow, that sounds awful. I was wondering the same that BP, because it would look like a mal practice, but I'm totally unexperienced about those things so... I don't know. Poor thing. I'm glad he is back to his normal self.

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
Sorry to hear James had a rough time at the vet Fluffagrams, glad he's still enjoying his food all the same & hope his teeth get back to normal soon.
I know having teeth clipped is always a bit of a risk but it does seem unusual to burr them without sedation.
