Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
I've been holding back a few photos lately as we're in the middle of a busy time showing wise but since it's two weeks until our next show and I don't think the listed Dwarf Judge is a HC member, here's a couple of photos of my lovely Lord Hedgehog.
Since I last posted in this thread, James went on to win a RBIS and his second Certificate of Merit but didn't place in the following show. I'm hoping that he can bring home a few more prize cards before he's retired but we'll see.
Sitting waiting whilst I diabetes test him:
Happy boy in his beach hut:

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
Aww he's such a handsome hedgehog ! He looks so sweet with his Beach Hut.
Just wondering, why wouldn't you be able to post photos before shows and things like that? I've never refrained from posting Jasper photos before shows.

It's nice to not have hamsters you're going to be judging popping up in your Facebook timeline all week before the show! It's a bit less troublesome on the forum as there aren't that many judges on here, but it does mean I avoid 'update' threads on hamsters (like this one for James) before I'm judging though it's not an infallible method of not seeing photos I don't want to. To be honest I don't think I'd be able to particularly pick out a hamster just based on the pics posted, but I personally, like Fluffagrams, find it best not to post pics of the hams I'm entering before a show so no-one could be worried I was trying to influence a judge unfairly.

Congratulations Lord Hedgehog James on your RBIS & 2nd Certificate of Merit.
I've missed handsome James and he looks so adorable in the beach hut.

Thankfully he was clear from Diabetes. I suspected that his weight loss was probably down to his increased wheel usage but when combined with his change in energy levels and loss of condition, I thought it best to rule anything sinister out.

Re: Lord James, Earl of Metallica
I imagined that when you didn't say anything about it, but I'm glad to know it for sure now
