I had them both out earlier and they're worlds apart. When May was on my lap she was climbing all over the place and wanted to look in all my pockets, there was just so much for her to explore. A little bit later on, whilst May was in her playbox I had James out and he snuggles himself up in my elbow and sits there calmly taking the world in.

Unfortunately I decided to cut short their playtime as the idiot who lives a couple of doors away decided to let fireworks off (again!) making them both a little nervous. I decided that it was best to put them both back so that they could take shelter in the comfort of their own cages.

I upgraded Lord James' cage on Sunday and he settled in well after he'd made sure I put his favourite strawberry hideyhole in. He's decided that it's the perfect place for his food stash now that he's sleeping in the wooden house. I debated about moving him but he seemed happy enough to play in the box at playtime, all of his toys are familiar to him and I added his old substrate to help him adjust easier too.

Bloomin' fireworks! They're driving me mad! Some *ahem* kindly soul, let some off at midnight on Saturday I think we've had something nearly every night since just before Halloween.

I do love the strawberry & the bin. I'm sure his Lordship loves it in there

It's quite annoying particularly as he lets off a few and then goes back inside and will let a few off several hours later. I live in quite a residsential sort of area where there's a lot of pet owners who are finding it difficult to prepare their pets for the fireworks as they're just being let off at all sorts of times.

That was actually the first bin cage that we built so it was a little bit experimental. It doesn't look as quite as 'finished' as Lady May's but it does the job.

The one & only reason I'm happy we've been having almost non stop rain for days & nights on end is hardly any fireworks this year to disturb me or the hams! It's a shame you had to cut short their play time when they were both obviously enjoying themselves in their very distinct ways, his lordship sounds so laid back!

I've got another bin for him like Lady May's complete with hammock and corner crush but I want to see how he settles into this one first.

He's got a snooze cube that I put in his playbox at playtime. It's one of Fuzzbutt's present cubes that I got when Vectis was having a clear out. Like May, James seems to be a fan of Fuzzbutts which makes me very happy as I have more reasone to buy more.

I think that Chineseys are just too irresistable.

Once I set eyes upon them (almost four years ago now) I found them totally irresistable and whilst the other species are so, so cute, I think that the Chinese will always have a special place in my heart.
