Belated Valentine Kisses to the wonderful Lord James. Cuteness overload. I've never had a ham that had liked all of the hamster mix. Twinkle takes out what she doesn't want and puts it at the side of her dish.

It looks as though he's leaving some grains too?

He'll usually eat the grains eventually but those funny looking orange and green bits always get left. I'd prefer him to have something a little bit more natural but I went through so many different mixes with May that got us nowhere and I don't really want a repeat of that. I might have a look at some of the links given in the thread I started about making your own food and have a go at that to see if that goes down any better.

May was pretty clever and used to bury what she didn't like in the hope that I'd see an empty food dish and feed her something nicer. I fell for it once.

I use 3 mixes for Twinkle, give a bit of each one.
Archie sometimes hid the bits he didn't like just like May. I used to come across them and put them back in his dish, he would come out and take them back out again lol!

I did that a couple of times with May but she'd only go and hide the bits again so I gave up. She ended up eating Science Selective which she was actually quite happy with - James is a little less enthused by Science Selective but he will usually eat it in the end.

James is being his usual cute self and he likes to sit in my elbow. I think it's probably one of his favourite places in the world.

James likes one of my Meat Loaf hoodies in particular. I'm not sure what it is about it but he's very comfortable snuggled up in my elbow when I wear that one.

James is very good at digging and his favourite playtime activity is to go into a tank filled with Fitch to dig lots of tunnels. As he'd had a couple of days in his burrowing tank I decided to put him in something else for his out of cage time. It's quite a small box but he doesn't mind being in there on a whole.

His lordship thought that he wanted to do some digging and was annoyed that he couldn't dig properly so he sat there with his log full of seeds instead.

I used to use them with Stitch and Meat but only recently thought to make one up again for James.

If anyone ever needs some tunnels made or some holes dug then James would like to offer his services. He accepts payment in seeds or cuddles.
