He had it all in his mind, everything he wanted to write but then discovered that they don't make pencils in little chinese hamster size so he said everyone will have to make do with hammy kisses instead.

James has been refusing to eat particular bits from his Harry Hamster although I am not overly surprised given that some of my other Chineseys have been reluctant to eat the same pieces.

I think the orange bits might possibly be carrot based judging by the colour but James will eat carrot if I give him a tiny bit in its more normal forms so I wonder if there's something else about them that he doesn't like?

I think a lot does depend on what a ham is used to eating, I did get a bag of HH once just to give mine a little of something different & they wouldn't go near it lol! I must admit I was a bit surprised when I opened the bag, it's just so different to what they're used to & none of mine really like biscuit bits much in any of the mixes although they will eat a bit of oxbow.
James is used to HH so I don't really know if he'd maybe do better with a more natural dwarf food or not tbh.
It looks as though he's leaving some grains too?
I can't really see what they are though.
I do prefer to feed a mix that mimics their diet in the wild, grass seeds & other small seeds, stalks, stems, leaves & roots, small beetles, other insects & grubs, (no biscuits!) as much as possible but I'm well aware that making a sudden change in the type of food given isn't a good idea so if you do think of changing something you would probably need to do it slowly & or partially.
