The Beautiful Miss Lady May's Thread
I thought that rather than sharing the same thread as the Fluffagrams Hamsters who had crossed the bridge, I ought to give my gorgeous girl her own thread. She thinks she's a very important hamster you see.
Anyway May, who was officially named Lady May joined me on 5th March 2015 from a small pet shop chain known as Pampurred Pets. She was 10 weeks old when I got her and they told me that she was one of five babies. When I went to the shop to choose her, she was snuggled up with her three sisters but once awake, I got to see how gorgeous this girl was. She was a very shy little lady who took a while to get used to me but now knows exactly how to get what she wants. She loves nothing more than to run around her cage exploring and burying her treats for later.

Hello lovely Lady May
Good to see she has her own thread now, I want lots more photos
She looks so cute there if a little timid & unsure of what's happening, I just love the way they can switch from shy to cheeky at the drop of a hat & they really do know how to get just what they want from us!

She's sat underneath one of her new toys in that photo. I bought it for her to climb on at playtime but she's not too sure about that. She can climb on to the little swing and she can climb up the inside but will she climb up the outside like she's supposed to? No. This girl follows her own agenda.
Before I went to the hamster show on Saturday she was awake and digging around in the substrate of her cage but poked her head out when she knew I was watching her. She gave me a look as if to say 'You're going to look at all these other hamsters but I'm still your favourite right' and to make sure that she was still my favourite, decided to beg for seeds.
She liked what I bought home for her...
She sends hammy kisses to Vectis for it and the matching fuzzbuddy that she sat on very regally at playtime yesterday (it's a shame I didn't have my camera for that one).

Oh she got her Fuzzbutt! Lucky girl, she looks just too sweet in there! I'm sure she knows she's still your favourite girl after getting that!

My Prinny loved her pocket pouch too for transporting to the bed from her cage! It was her little comfort blanket! I never kept it in her cage though for fear of her chewing it! x

Re: The Beautiful Miss Lady May's Thread
I must admit I was a bit paranoid when I first put Zephyr's in her cage, watching like a hawk (or worried mother hen lol!) but months & months later not a mark on any of them & she adores them, it looks like May will too

Re: The Beautiful Miss Lady May's Thread
Do they make those snuggly looking cubes in human sizes? Lady May is doing a great job modelling that one

I normally introduce new toys to her at playtime so she's not freaked out by something strange in her space but she was open to this right from the start. I put it in the playpen, she had a sniff and the hopped in straightaway. She was less keen to come out again.
I'd wanted to get her one for a while but Fuzzbutts themselves had pretty much sold out of the homer cubes so when Vectis said she had one that matched the Fuzzbuddy that she was selling, I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity.
I'm really pleased with it and will be more than happy to buy others for any future hamsters.

It's a bit of a worry and although May used to chew her wooden house, she stopped doing that ages ago. I think the reason she was chewing it was to make everything just so for the way that she sleeps.
