Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
This is Garfunkel, one of my previous hamsters. He was adopted from Pets at Home after his previous owners had bought him for their kids who then got bored of him. Unfortunately dear little Garfunkel was diagnosed with a tumour on his jaw a week after I got him and he passed away two months later.
Even though Garfunkel wasn't with me for long, I'm glad that I gave him the opportunity to spend his final days in a home where he was loved and wanted rather than in a pet shop.
He was named after the musician Art Garfunkel and the reason I've posted his photo here is because I wanted to share a photo of the handsome little guy.

Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
That's so sad but wonderful that he spent what little time he had with you & was so well loved till the end of his all too short life.
He really was such a beautiful little guy, gorgeous!

Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
I realised that it was a month ago yesterday that he died so I looked back on all the photos and videos that I had of him. Despite his illness, he was a lively little lad who had such character.
It wasn't long before his cage was occupied by May but my memories of him will always have a little place in my heart.

Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
Yesterday was my birthday and I was sat on the sofa reading some messages on Facebook that my friends had sent me and hear the sound of a little hamster pulling his egg box around his cage (I'm not sure where he thought he was going to take it!). I looked over at him and asked him what he was doing so he ran over to me and stood up.
Of course I can't resist him when he does that so I got him out for a bit of attention. It was nice to have birthday hugs from my little old guy.
Here he is looking all adorable yesterday...
He's sat on an old white t-shirt of mine that he seemed drawn to when he was little so we've kept it and it's almost become his 'cuddle blanket'.

Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
He's not an easy hamster to ignore.
He's mastered the art of looking as cute as he can to make sure he gets himself lots of attention and treats.

Re: The Fluffagrams Hamsters
Such lovely images Fluffgrams, thanks for sharing them. Chinese hamsters for me have a charisma. Some just remain shy but they do come out of their shells if they are given time and patience. They can be quite devoted. I like their mouse-like qualities and features. x
