Re: set ups for chinese pics please
Good luck getting her! Your ZZ1 cage is a perfect size. You just need to make sure it has plenty of hidey-holes like cardboard egg box with a door cut in either end, tea box with the floor cut out as Chinese hamsters love to burrow down and make a nice round ball type nest. So I always just used a tea box without a floor and cut a few doors in it!
Wheel? That would be a 6.5" inch silent spinner or anything similar in size.
Diet? Burgess Dwarf Hamster food, although I`ve heard on the grapevine that Pets At Home don`t sell this anymore? Depending on what her current owner is feeding her on, if she enjoys it, then I would stick with it unless it`s a mix that is full of sugar or dried fruit, which Chinese hamsters shouldn`t have due to their risk of developing diabetes, although the mix itself shouldn`t have anything `picked out` as everything in a mix is crucial to well being. It`s added treats and sugars that can`t be fed.
Toilet roll tubes, Crittertrail tubes (these are great for ramps to other levels! and Trixie wooden logs. Hope this helps a wee bit. x

Re: set ups for chinese pics please
Here's two pics from a zoozone1 that my previous chinese lived in. My current chinese lives in a mini-duna until I can decide which cage to upgrade him to.

Re: set ups for chinese pics please
Good luck with her, like racinghamster said zoozones are good cages for them as you can put deep substrate in and it won't get kicked out of the cage. A zoozone 1 is a good size a zoozone 2 even better (but you do need a lot of toys/hidy places as they are shy and don't often like too much open space).
My Chinese have a zoozone 1 each.
The pink one is Yin's cage & the blue one is Yang's cage.

Re: set ups for chinese pics please
Thank you everyone
No shortage of egg boxes, I have been saving them and toilet roll tubes. Tea boxes not a problem either Got lots of spare toys, spare flying saucer, will order another silent spinner!!
Thank you for pictures, great set ups!! Love looking at inspiration!
Hoping to hear soon, no reply yet but think I'm gonna text again to be sure she got it

Sorry scampi to jump in.
Its fitch.(horse bedding) Comes in huge 20kg bales. Its great! All my 3 love it. Its cheap, dust free and lasts forever. You can only get it online (unless you can pick up)either on amazon where its a tiny bit more expensive or through their website. Type fitch on the search bar on here, there are tons of reviews.
