I have my little Chinese dwarf hamster, Luna, some steamed brocoli but I didn't know it had butter on it until I ate some later! Will she be okay?? I'm really worried and nervous that something could happen, I have her the tiniest amount of brocoli though since she's still a baby. I feel horrible someone please answer and help me

She'll be fine. Mine have eaten a Cheeze-It (baked cheese cracker) before and nothing happened.

She will be okay but broccoli should be fed raw. It doesn`t need steamed or cooked as this depletes the vitamins. Same goes for all veggies. Rodents eat them in a raw state. Chinese hamsters benefit from very snall amounts of veg either daily or a few times weekly. Depends on their individual taste really.

Re: Please help!
So sweet that you are getting her on a healthy diet already!! It's funny, I offered Frostberry a bit of raw broccoli last night for the first time, and she didn't even have a nibble.
From what I have read, the Chinese are a bit hardier, and somewhat like natural scavengers in the way mice are, so that always gave me peace of mind with Cupcake (she occasionally got into human food in her travels around the house with us). I am going to be even more careful with Frostberry, but Cupcake never had any food related troubles.

Re: Please help!
Its never stupid to worry about your ham and what to feed them!
My Noodle loves broc and cucumber, she has 1 floret and 1 slice every other day and she almost always eats them all up!
Well all my hams have the same amount when it comes to veg
