Mother of the world's smartest Syrian, Hamper! Well, maybe not the world's smartest but he's the smartest hamster I've ever seen! I'm also the aunt of the deadly vampire Ruby! He's not actually deadly or vampiric but we like to pretend

It’s good to know the cage arrived quickly and undamaged from Amazon UK! I almost bought it in the past but the UK listing didn’t have any reviews so I didn’t want to risk it with such an expensive item

Dwarf hamsters need just as much unbroken floor space as Syrians do (around 600 square inches minimum).

Iíd rather not derail this thread tho so feel free to message me if you want to discuss this more.

That's a lovely cage. Really hoping it is made available all over the world so that more hamsters can benefit from this.

I live in the US and the only ones Iíve seen (of course Iím a beginner) is the critter trail. I didnít think it had enough space so I added tubes but Iím realizing that almost no one here uses tubes...we have a dwarf and she seems content climbing through but does she not have enough room??

Have a look at the thread " let's see your cages" on the Forum under Housing and you will soon realize that a Critter Trail cage is not suitable for any hamster.
I believe the minimum recommended cage size for a dwarf is 70cm x 40cm.

Tubes, hamster balls etc, opinions will differ, some people use them and some don't. I don't because i find tubes unhygienic and they lack ventilation, same applies to the balls.

There are two cages in the US you can buy online that would in theory be suitable for dwarf species(not Syrians as they're still small for Syrians).

Option 1, the Kevin 82:

Option 2, the Goran 82(not the 72):

I wouldn't use plastic tubes in a cage setup because of all the potential serious health issues they can bring. It doesn't matter how big the tubes are or if there are a few holes in them, they're all still plastic and the universal problem with plastic is that it does not breathe at all and traps moisture because of this(yes, even with holes).
