Rads, I see that you have replaced the platform which came with the Alaska. Looking at photos, I really don't like the flimsy little platform that the Alaska it comes with and don't think the tiny slide/ladder thing is going to be big enough once he is fully grown. Did you make or buy your replacement platform? If you made it, can you give me some tips?

Hi April,
I made the new shelf in Pips cage using hard wood tongue depressors and non toxic pva children's glue.
Underneath I have a wooden box file thing I picked up from IKEA for £3..!
Pip uses that as her cave where she stashes food etc.
The plastic shelf that comes with the Alaska is fine and even Pip would get up the ramp/ladder though I put in an external bendy bridge which she prefers.
Pip also seems to like it the more cluttered the better..
Hope this helps

Thank you Rads Wish I was good at DIY, but I don't know if I'd be up to making a new shelf. Sigh. I will see what the plastic one is like and then regroup if necessary.

Flowerfairy I am looking forward to the arrival of Mushu's Alaska too. I still don't have a dispatch confirmation yet though and I want to get him used to it before actually moving him in so I don't know when he will begin living there. All depends on when the thing arrives!
