Default Ferplast Duna Multy

I got this cage about a week ago to keep my little russian hamsters in and love it so much I thought I'd do a review of it.

Its 71cm Length, 46cm Width, and 31cm Hight. The sides slope inwards slightly so the actual usable space is a centimetre or so smaller. It's a mainly plastic tank with wire opening on top.
The clear plastic lid is fairly easily broken, so that's something to be careful about. Mine arrived cracked and I had to get a replacement sent out.
The wire spacing is small, less than 1cm so no worries about escapes, although with my dwarfs I leave the wire off the top most of the time anyway... they cant reach that high and it makes it easy access for taming.

There's plenty space in there for two regular sized silent spinners, a couple of houses, toys, sand pit, etc.

A water bottle can be attached to the outside of the tank using the two small holes drilled in the lid, but I found that irritating and not particularly stable and so resorted to using a couple of sucker-thingies and a piece of cord to hold the bottle in place.

My dwarfs need a small step up to reach the water bottle inside the tank, a syrian or adult dwarfs (apart from robos) I suspect wouldn't need this.

It's easily cleaned, as you would expect from a single level plastic tank. The lid and base are held together by plastic clips and come apart easily.

This cage doesn't come with any accessories, and costs £39.99 from equinecaninefeline although if you sign up for their newsletter you get a discount code... 10% I think it was. I haven't found them anywhere else.

Overall a good cage, especially for the DIY-challenged for whom adding wire mesh to a cage with wider bar spacing is out of the question.

Do you think it would be big enough for a syrian?

Hmm maybe a baby syrian, as its first cage, maybe.
Speaking from experience, all three of my syrians have three level's cages to keep them busy, I had one of these for Renesmee, and it sorta drove her nuts in the end. Maybe I just have really active hamsters, I don't know. xx

I use this cage for my Syrian and she loves it. She's incredibly hyperactive even by hamster standards and she doesn't find it stifling. It's so big and it gives me the room to put tonnes of toys there. Right now she has a suspended bridge, ladders, a see-saw, a platform thingy, lots of chew toys and a silent spinner. I usually let her out everynight. Sometimes for an hour, sometimes 20 minutes. It's a great little cage for a Syrian - mine is really happy in there.
