I never had a zoozone cage- I'm not a fan of cages although i have one connected to a bin cage. I always preferred either tanks or bin cages.

Unless the design has changed since I hast bought a Zoozone...you will have to mesh the top as most young hamsters will be able to slip through...in fact most hamsters!

I have a ZZ2 for my syrian and I do love it.
The lid on mine is meshed and I'd also advise having a few washers, screws and bolts handy because one of my old syrians did decide the cage was for eating. She made some little holes in the corners but I just put washers over and it's unchewable now I put in a washer and screw to cover the water bottle hole too. Mine's the old white cage, I assume the newer ones still have chewable bits but someone might tell me I'm wrong
