Fabby photos amie! And yes, Ferplast need to stop making the mini version and stick with this one and add the shelf and ramp inside. Sell it for around £35.00 new and all the hamsters sold in pet shops will be guaranteed a decent cage to run around in. x

Luckily I have lots of spare bits for hamster cages and for my Syrian I have added a shelf to give him another level in his duna multy cage!
The large Duna fun is the same as the Duna Multy but with bars in the middle and has shelves and ladders

sully, can the Large Duna fun be adapted so that he bars can be removed and the cage just a Duna Multi in theory? Meaning, if the barred section was removed, the top part could be lowered down onto the base? I`ve never had one so wasn`t sure. x

I do also love the shelf's in the Fun Large cage, but wondered if the gap from the base to the shelf is very big?

I put about 3 inches of fitch in my tank & wondered if you can do the same in the Duna Fun Large?

I do also like the Duna Fun for the same reasons

I’ve had a blue one of these for several years and thought they had been discontinued. My rescue Syrian lives in it. I bumped in to a lady at a recent hamster show who had carried it in to enter her pets in the pets class. She told me that they are still available online so I ordered another 2 which have just arrived!
Although I intensely dislike cages with coloured bases which are non see through this cage is a really good cage and I much prefer it to a zoozone 1 I have. The lid doesn’t need wiring and it is as big as a zoozone 1.
Here is the original version of the duna multy with the see through base. It is so old I no longer remember the cage’s name. This is a very old cage that I’ve had many years. Incidentally this is an old photo and I don’t use the metal shelf anymore since a Winter White got his foot stuck in it. Luckily I was in the room when he got his foot stuck and freed him.
OMG!!! I must write to Ferplast and demand that they make these again! (without the metal shelves ofc)

Yes, its just a Duna Multy with the bars and extras added which make it a Large Duna fun. I mixed and matched. Spencer the hamster I have been babysitting, had one of my old Duna multies with one of the floors and ladder attachment in, there is only room for one floor level and one ladder in the duna multy, the duna fun large has two of each. In the picture the second one from top is the Duna fun large but the 3rd one down has the black top grill from the Duna fun.

The Duna fun first floor level is the height of the top of the grey base, then you have the bars which come apoart into two sections, then the next level of floor is on the top of the bars, the floors go one on either end. If you want a large wheel in Duna fun large, you can only have one floor level as in picture.Just downloading some old pictures for all to see.

Thank You So Much Sully,

That has explained perfectly. For me if I did go down the plastic cage route I would go for the Multi with no shelve's.

I've never had a plastic cage just bin cages or glass. I didn't like the bin cages. I love the glass because you can see everything, but they are heavy to move & was thinking how much easier a plastic cage would be. It would obviously be bulky & long but it would be a lot lighter.

Edit to say I have a 27x12" tank Rosey is in I need someone else to help me move it, though now it's in place it's OK I don't move it, but the plastic one I could do on my own
