Just thought I would come along & say that I saw this cage in the new Tesco Direct catalogue Which means it will probably be on the tescodirect website as well

i got my boy an imac fantasy today, set it up and popped him in and all seems good so far. i like the lay out of this cage as its pretty roomy. ellis took a while to work out the tubing to get up and down as it was his first cage with tubes on. it dosent take up too much space on the work top either. i liked the idea that it could be extended and i liked the bright pastel colours being female! the nest area on the top floor looks quite warm as out house gets cold in the winter so would like to thing he was keeping the warmth in his bed. i will let you know how this cage goes. i only have one hamster so cleaning out time is not realy important to me. i always tip everything out and clean his cage with wet wipes. pleased so far!

Thank you for this review. I am trying to find a site that gives colour options as I do not want pink. I saw replacement discs and tubes on eBay.

It is a shame the discs need to be taped though. This should have been thought of during the design process.

I've never had to tape the discs up on mine and they seem pretty stiff and sturdy!

i havent taped the discs on mine either, they seem to hard to twist for a hamster. i hope he doesnt escape. ive got a cat! he isnt interested in the top of the cage. maybe its if they are trying to get out from where you take them from?

one thing i have noticed about this cage is they can sit in the tubes so you cant catch them. this is ok as long as your hammy isnt shy as they can hide from you!

I got mine from:
http://www.onlynaturalpetsupplies.co.uk for £29.99 plus £4.95 postage for orders up to 25kg. They also stock the extension and have Wodent wheel juniors as well if anyone's interested. I love the cage and the colours and find it easy to clean. I do have a question for fellow Imac Fantasy owners though - Is the extension different from just the cage part, top floor part (the ridged bit) and extra tubing? I was wondering if I could just get a 2nd hand complete Imac and use bits from that as the extension level (and have some spare parts) or are the clips that come with the extension different?
Would appreciate any info

I have this cage for my newest addition Womble, and I cant fault it. The screw things at the top make it easy to scoop him out. He doesnt sleep in the integrated house (i think its because he struggles to get his fat bum in and out of it), but he hides his food in there and sleeps next to it.

I find mine really easy to clean, but by the sounds of it i am lucky, as Womble wont wee in the attic bit, he uses a corner downstairs.

It is a good size, and the two levels give hammy extra floor space, and you have the option of buying an extension which adds another level.

I plan on getting an extension from tesco direct however i am looking online for a second hand one-i bought my cage at a bargain price of £10. However, tesco direct does state that this cage is £45 new, however im not sure if this varies region by region. However at the mo, the extension is £17.99 on offer.

Actually, there is one downside, when he hides in the tube, it is quite difficult to see him. The tubes in my imac are dark red and dark green, so you can imagine a cinammon banded can be camoflaged quite well.
Twice, i have been in to check on him and not been able to spot him, panicked thinking he has escaped, only to find him in the tube. I swear he does it on purpose sometimes

I guess also the plastic does feel a bit flimsy compared to my duna fun maxi, but I don't think it affects hammys quality of life in any way.

I'd definately recommend this cage, but I'd advise eBay or somewhere like that, as they often appear, and if you are as lucky as I am, get it for one fifth of the price!
