I also have this cage, had it for a few years & it's been used to house a house bunny (he was a dwarf & only went in it over night) guinea pigs & when one of my rats was post-op it was used to house both rats - so it really is multi-functional!
It cost me £60 but I'm pretty sure you could get them cheaper as the pet shop I go to is an independent one & pretty pricey

Another good point to be made about this cage is that it can be 'halved'. The white & clear part dettach from each other - which is the reason I've been able to hang onto it in my shed I also used the top part as a temporary run on the lawn for the guinea pigs for when I was cleaning out the bottom part.

I love what you have done with the play stix - Can I copy you?!

It's an amazing size for a hamster though.

These zoozone 2s look HUGE! Am thinking of upgrading from a savic peggy metro to a zoozone 1 or 2 for my syrian Haffertee - not sure if i have the space for the bigger one (esp if I'm thinking of future hamster acquisitions...!) Does anyone have pics of the smaller one with stuff in? Would be good to see how many toys etc. it holds. It's annoying as they're pretty much the same price....
Thanks

I can't find a pic of any of my ZZ1s from a sensible angle filled with toys.

Here's one just after I put a pair of new hams in (not many toys as I wanted to introduce them slowly to ensure no fighting, they're WWs). Wheels are 6.5" SS for reference!

Here's one from a funny angle but actually furnished :P

Meshing the top really isn't that bad. It took me and a buddy about 1 1/2 hours to do it. Just get the thinnest gauge wire you can if you are going to wrap the wire mesh onto the lid like I have done. Zip ties like Bailey did would be a lot faster probably.

Here's my completed ZZ2 that will house 6 Campbell's:

I'm using a long twist tie to hold the water bottle right now. I threw away the yellow bottle holder on accident! I had to buy a special water bottle that has notches on the back of it in order to make it stay up. The cage is deep and dwarfs especially will need a step up from the bedding to comfortably reach the bottle spout. I have seen people use the holes in the corners on the top of the plastic base to secure a bottle as well.

I found that putting the mesh on a ZZ2 lid was easier than a ZZ1. The ZZ1 lid is rounded and I had to make a gap between the mesh and the edges so the lid would close properly, while the ZZ2 lid is totally flat and fits a little less constrained. I meshed the lid the same way I did on this ZZ1:

Here are pics of two different ZZ1 set ups:

I highly recommend both Zoo Zone cages!

still using ZooZone2s for my syrians - and loving the new blue colour! I've mastered the art of meshing the lid

looking a little bare! (not put wheel/house etc. back in yet) - my syrian loves running along the tube!

Today i've been drooling over all the lovely zoo zone cages on this forum. And its take me this long to realise, I HAVE ONE!!!!
Its been in the garage for absoloutely ages and has been well used for a range of pets, included guinea pigs, gerbils and hamsters.
Its just so big, that i can't convince mum that i do have enough room for it.
The downsides are the fact that it dosen't have levels and no bars to attach things too. But then the advantage is that its great for dwarfs with no risk of them escaping. My current robo did start off in one of these along with her sister and i remember that she loved the space.
Will definitly be using it in the future and i recommend it to all. But it is pricey unless you find a bargain on Ebay!

The zoozone 2 is so huge that u dont really have to worry about it not having levels, as the floor space is perfectly adequate anyway being about 100cm long. Hamsters seem to prefer large floor space than smaller area and lots of levels.
You have rotastak right? Surely the set up you have now takes up as much room as the ZZ? It would offer your Robo alot more space to run around freely too...and you could add lots of things to climb over - like logs and bridges and flat top wooden houses.
