Re: hamster cage review brilliant
Rolo's in one of these (was in it when I got him) and I don't like it...
Yes it is easy to clean... however Rolo's rather fat (again - was fat when he came to me) and struggles with the slopes...
He doesn't 'do' burrowing like Rocky does so I decided to cut back on his shavings and just give him plenty of paper for his bed which he's absolutely fine with but he can't reach his water bottle now which can only go in one place unless I get handy with a drill. I've put a drink's holder from KFC upside down under the bottle so he can stand on that to drink and he's quite happy with this arrangement.
My main problem with it however, is the ladders are constantly fall down leaving him desperately trying to get his fat little bod up onto the next level by jumping and scrabbling (which I suppose gets some weight off!) and there doesn't seem to be much 'ground floor' space to put his accessories.
Perhaps I am just spoiling him and he shouldn't have that many accessories, but I am on the look out for a new one.
It's also broken both on the lid and the catches - I assumed this was down to previous owner but a friend has the same cage and says the hinges on the barred lid has broken on hers too, just like mine. Weak point perhaps?
Definitely too small for a syrian as my dwarf is on the large side for a dwarf and I consider it too small for him but unless you put loads of shavings in (which, for him is unnecessary) he can't reach the water either!

They have these in our local pet shop for £29.99 in various colours. I have seen them online too.
