Oh do post more pictures. I don’t think that would be encouraging people to breed especially as you didn’t choose this to happen and rescued the Mum. It is just part of yours and the Mum’s story. Only thing I’d say is choose the times to take photos and not too often.

I’d suggest not cleaning out again for a while now. It’ll help them when they’re separated to have a bit of smelly bedding with them!

The Mum hammy is absolutely adorable - such a clever girl.

Of course you can post as many pics as you want. The pups eyes are open well and truly now. Can't wait to see them.
Have you been able to check the sexes yet? It is quite hard to sex dwarf pups!

I've tried to sex them when i did the cleaning and i could tell i have 1 male. right now they are very skittish. I am starting to bond with mum thinking that they will copy mum's behavior. I hope.

Pics I still hope there isn't a second litter. Mum is getting bigger but i think that she has no wheel and she is close to stopping nursing. The first 2 weeks were probably very stressful for her but now she is very calm and very eager to get seeds from my hands.

As for the pictures, i use a DSLR with a zoom lens and i only take them when they are awake and doing stuff around the cage. Also for filming i have a professional video camera with a good zoom on it. They don't even know its there. The video camera is extremely quiet.

aww they are really lovely. Bet you are addicted to watching them. We are when we have pups! Keep handling them as much as you can at this stage and they will get really tame. We do ours several sessions a day. Mum may well have a second litter and you need to get the males out before she does or when they are 4 weeks for definite. They can and will mate with mum and siblings

Those hamsters are adorable and what an amazing experience for you to be able to rescue them and then watch them grow and thrive!
Your photos are lovely and please keep them coming.

I just hope that mum isn't pregnant again but if she is she's in the best of hands.

Thank you all. I have some problems with taming...mum is nippy I don't blame her after what she has been through. i don't know exactly how to do it. One of the pups is taking example and bit me (not hard)

Should i try and scoop them with something and use a box/play pen? (just for the pups. no mum.

Sorry but that made me laugh. The little pup copying his mum.
Yes, i'd put a treat into a mug or jug then let the pup walk into it and take him out to a safe area for a taming session.

That's the only way i can get my nippy dwarf out, in his hamster taxi.

Your photos and the little family are all just beautiful. It's nice seeing and hearing about how they are all doing.

Very interesting. Why would that be? I'm sure there's a good reason but please may I ask why there is this rule?
