Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
The little boy is thriving in his dad's company. He's gone from 9g at 2 weeks old to 19g at 3 weeks old. We're coming up to the 4 week weigh-in.

He's a handsome little guy, glad to hear that he's doing well.

Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
Aww he is lovely!
I really like the idea of giving them different textures to explore.

Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
The Armet I litter is now 6 weeks old, and they are larger than their mum! The three girls will be staying with me or going to a friend, and the boy is reserved. He was in with dad but has moved into his own cage to get used to living alone before moving home. I've got his rehoming pack ready in preparation.
The girls have been helping mum look after the youngest litter who are 3 weeks old. Next week the group will be split and mum will get her own cage for some well-earned rest. Here's a little video of the older girls and a younger pup exploring a little bowl of sand. I like to introduce new textures into the cage for them to explore from very young (obviously keeping safety in mind).

I'm really enjoying these litters. They grow up so fast!

That is a wonderful rehoming pack! Nice that the girls are helping look after the babies Makes you realise how tiny the babies are seeing them in with the girls.

Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
What a difference 3 weeks makes. So pleased the first litter is in good health and ready for the next stage of life. Do you know the gender split in the younger litter yet?

Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
I think there are 3 boys and 3 girls in the younger litter. I'll keep a boy and two girls will go to my friend, so half are already reserved!
These pups can't be sold in the usual way at a show as they may carry blue (which isn't a recognised mutation. Yet.) They can go 'for donation' clearly marked as not for breeding or showing, but not for a set price. If you go to a show and see a hamster marked as for donation or not for breeding and showing, don't think they are necessarily inferior. They may, like these little ones, be part of establishing a newer variety in the UK and just as good as the other young hamsters (though obviously not if you want to show or breed!)

Re: Roborovski Litter (the Armets)
Oh the utter cuteness! I love the size difference. Roborovskis are wonderful.
I love the blue colour. Seen a few online. Gorgeous.
