Re: Completely noob! :)
She sounds fine on that diet and likes the enclosed nest so leave her with that. There could be any number of pups there. It is unlikely the previous loss will have made any difference to the number.
It is early days yet so don't try and peep. She sounds like an attentive mother now she is living alone but she is still very young. Be generous with the food as she will take it in to the pups who will start nibbling around 5 days of age.
About 10 days of age they will start scrambling out the nest and she will drag them back. At this age give a low plate of babyfood or porridge and the finely chopped egg, veg as well as lots of hamster food.
Mangool has started biting again. She does it without any pause. I'm a bit worried about her. when I get close to her I hear she is smashing something with her teeth. Can't really explaining the sound. I hear teeth sound. She has some woods and plastics in her tank to chew on. But she is not using them and I don't know why she is continuing. it is exactly like the last night.
Should I be worried about my hamsters teeth length at all?
I'm dying to see how the pups look like. Mooshi has blocked the hole I used to peep with pieces she had torn from the box. They pups must be 6-7 days now. I can hear them so often.
Try not to go around them too much for the next week and a half or so, as the mother is already stressed a bit from being in the cage with a male and another female. So soon you will be able to play with cute little babies Have you started searching for homes for them yet?
Been following this thread for a while and i'm thrilled to here all is well now i hope the babies stay well and grow strong!

Good to read that things are continuing to go well. Remember to leave them alone and resist the urge to peek. Mum is busy doing what she should be and hopefully you are having a chance to find new homes for the pups
Mooshi is now getting out more than before, saw her running in the wheel and going into tubes, biting her cage bars. I still hear the pups sound, but less. They must be 8-9 days now. I have no idea what's going in the box
When should I separate them from their mum? at 4 weeks age? I'm asking because, how am I suppose to feed them with their mum around? I mean like porridge food ...

Re: Completely noob! :)
You should start putting in dishes of porridge now near the nest. They will start coming out soon. Mum will try and stop them at first but soon she will give up and they will tumble out and go to the dish themselves. Get a spoon and sprinkle food around the entrance to the box. When mum comes out for her food the babies will come to the door to eat the food. How big is the box as they will be spilling out soon? The mum and babies should all have the porridge/babyfood chopped veg etc. No need to take mum out at all as they will all share as long as you are generous. Also feed chopped egg, chicken, tofu, cheese, veg such as broccolli, carrot etc and apple, pear, in small amounts.
You separate the babies from mum at 4 weeks of age and you put all the boys together in one cage and all the girls in another.
You can let them go individually to their new homes from about 6 weeks and they should all be living in individual cages by 8 weeks to be safe.
