Colour ideas
Hi, can anyone identify the colour of my new hanster. I was thinking sable roan but maybes a very slight dim spot.... here are some photos and thanks

Sable Roan Banded.
Looks Silver Sable to me, but could just be the roaning making it look that way.

Thanks for the reply. I’m only a novice so your help is appreciated. Are you able to tell me why banded as I thought they need a band for that. Excuse my ignorance and thanks again.

The Roan pattern would normally not just be about the head as your pretty girls is. This was my Sable Roan girl just before she birthed her litter. Note how she has the roan ticking throughout her head and body .

Most often when the band gene combines with the Roan gene it results in a roan headed hamster with a white body starting at the neck and goning all the way back to the tail. The band turns all the sable roan coat to white so the whole body ends up white.
