Re: The Cormes (E17)
Snappy is 45g and he feels light as a feather compared to the older boys, especially Boris So the pups are less than half the weight of Snappy, so so tiny

They are so adorable! They look very sweet enjoying playing in their egg box and that final photo is so cute!

It doesn’t half feel strange when I go from handling them or Juno to Matthew, who is probably what you’d consider to be a large Chinese at 53g. The Nobrias were slightly bigger in size than The Cormes but there was only six of them compared to the seven Cormes.
Cora’s a good weight at 41g but James was a bit of a slow cooker... he grew all of a sudden at about eight months old so it’ll be interesting to see who they take after.

Re: The Cormes (E17)
The Cormes are growing so quickly... they're all up another two to three gram since I weighed them the other day. One of the boys is the smallest but it's not a huge difference and thankfully he seems to have no ill effects from his smaller size because he's the most confident and actually seems to be the most dominant of all the babies.
Here's a photo from last night when two of the babies came out for some porridge.

They are growing so quickly, good to see them tucking in to their porridge. The other 5 pups best be quick before they miss out

Re: The Cormes (E17)
These two both look so sweet and also grown up eating their porridge.

Re: The Cormes (E17)
I can't believe how fast time has flown and how much The Cormes have grown! They now weigh 24g (which is the same as Juno) and are four weeks old. The boys were separated today from their mother and sister and will remain as a group of six for now until I separate them again into smaller groups prior to rehoming them in the new year. One boy will be staying here although I haven't set my mind one which one yet and the little girl, who has been named Lady Louise Cormes, will also be staying here. She is currently living with her mother and I hope they'll be able to live together for a couple more weeks.
Here's the last group shot of all seven babies:

Re: The Cormes (E17)
What an adorable huddle of hams they are!
They really are quite a chunky little bunch, hard to believe just how fast they grow up!

Re: The Cormes (E17)
Well Cora decided that once her boys had left that her mothering days were done and she'd had enough of putting others first. Things descended into aggression fairly quickly and Cora wouldn't let Louise have any of the food or water so even though it's not ideal for a baby hamster to be on her own at four weeks old, I decided that Louise would be safer on her own.
Thankfully little Louise is unhurt and I'm doing what I can to help her settle into single life.
Here's a photo of the little lady in her own cage:
