Default Who was Rob Robinson?

I've put this in the breeding section as I've heard he did a lot of work on genetics in hamsters and wrote a book on Rodent Genetics, if it's in the wrong place, sorry

Who was he? I've only been hearing his name for the past few weeks now and I've gotten the gist he was a geneticist or something and he wrote a book about rodent genetics and inheritance, but he seems to be mentioned in the Hamster Community and seems highly respected, I just wanna know more about him Google brings up naught

I'm new to the whole showing and breeding side of things, so apologies if it sounds a bit dim of me that I don't know him.

Do you mean Roy Robinson?
He wrote Colour Inheritance in Small Livestock. He was active in the Fancy before I started, but I have the book.

Sorry, yes! Roy Robinson! I dunno why I thought Rob! Did he do lots for the Hamster Fancy? I know he was mentioned in the April Journal along with Percy Parslow. I'm guessing he did a lot to work out the genetics in Hamsters (and other animals)?

Will have to order the book when I get paid next and have a read

There isn't a lot on hamsters in the book lilac but overall an interesting read if you are into that sort of thing.
