Re: Welcome P17, CocoPups!
So sorry about Molly's pups but I'm really glad Molly is doing well and recovering.
Congrats on the Cocopups! Can't wait to see pics when their eyes open

Re: Welcome P17, CocoPups!
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. The waiting always takes so long, haha.
Cordelia was out puttering around for a little while last night, and looks quite well. All considering, two weeks go by so slowly when you're waiting for the little jellybeans to grow!

Re: Welcome P17, CocoPups!
Cordelia and her pups are doing very well. She's a wonderful mother, and her pups are growing by leaps and bounds. They're already moving around in the nest and driving her crazy, so once they break free of her barricade she'll be through the roof.

Hopefully that means the waiting is nearly over and we'll be able to see them soon

Re: Welcome P17, CocoPups!
The pups have their eyes open! We have ten total CocoPups and they are just so so sweet. Cordelia has done a wonderful job with her little munchkins and they all managed their first handling session like little angels! No surprise when both parents come from such wonderfully naturally tempered lines!
We are chatting with other breeders about the phenotypes of the various pups. The general consensus is to wait until they're a bit older for their undercoat to come in, and hopefully for nose smudges to become apparent. We will know soon, but I have some guesses as well. There may be a slim chance that dad is Het-ED instead of ED, however given his siblings and parents, as well as his colour I'm fairly confident he is ED. If he is Het-ED then we may have DEW pups.
I plan to keep one of the ED Golden girls, and one of the ED yellow boys will be going to another breeder in my area. I'd like to assess their type and temperament more before we decide too, so we've held off on naming any of the pups right now.
The first two are both boys, the top I think is ED melanistic yellow. The bottom might be Het-ED cinnamon or honey.
These are both girls. The top is an ED golden tortoiseshell, she has one very small patch on her back. She is one of our possible keepers. The bottom is maybe a Het-ED cinnamon/cinnamon tort. She has a small dot on her forehead which I'm hoping gives us more clues about her phenotype as she grows. Her Auntie Lychee also had a spot like this, I assume it's a mosaic spot, something that runs in the family.
Sorry this photo is huge, my computer isn't wanting to scale it down.
Another ED melanistic yellow boy, I'm guessing. The bottom is actually a very soft off white. Possibly an ED dove/REC? She's a female. She's a real sweetheart.
The top pup is a much nicer marked ED golden tortoiseshell lady, however her head is a bit more narrow so she's not on my list of keepers. The bottom is another possible Het-ED Cinnamon/cinnamon tort lady.
Last is a female ED golden girl. She's the sweetest pup so far and high in the lead of my list of keepers. The pup on the bottom is either an ED yellow, or Het-ED mel yellow/yellow. I really like his temperament, but I'd like him to grow some to see how his type compare to the ED mel yellow boys.
They are doing very well and all even in size with very little variance. Cordelia did a very good job with her babies and I can't wait to see them grow even more! We have some very lucky and anxious adopters watching from the sidelines.

They are all so gorgeous, it will be nice to watch them grow and see how different they look once their undercoats comes in

Re: Welcome P17, CocoPups!
These are beauutiful Hekomi!
I love a mystery! At first look I would have said the very white red eyed pups could be FEW (c(d)c(d)pp)? If Cashew is actually Het-ED that's a possibility? They could then be hiding anything under that - yellows/black/cream - and you wouldn't know!
