Starbuck has put on some weight, not a ton, but some which is good. Her pups are doing well and are just over 3wks old now. All, except Nacho, weigh 60g+, so I'm hoping they all weigh 80g by 4wks, which is the weight goal I aim for. I like my pups to be 100g+ before they go home, where possible.

Nessa is very spunky. She looks to be SH, and is very sweet. Her type isn't as great as her LH siblings, which is a bummer to me. However, I've noticed all our LH pups seem to look nicer type wise than their SH siblings. I feel like it must be the way the fur sits. That being said, I'm choosing temperament and colour over type, which I do feel rather rubbish about, but because of how rare extreme dilute is, I need to keep a for sure carrier rather than a maybe carrier. Luckily, I have some lovely type males I could cross her with.

Nutella is a sweetie, and is looking to be LH. I'd love if she went to a breeder home, but I don't think she will (we have about 50 people waiting on hamsters from us). She's the smallest girl, but still very nice.

Nacho is the smallest, but oh so very sweet. He's very gentle, and also LH. I'm sending him out on contract. His type is pretty nice, his temperament is great, and the LH golden genes are ones I like to keep around. A lot of my hamsters are black based.

Polly is also SH, and such a spunky little thing. She's nice, but definitely the most naughty of the girls. We did make a choice about her home though... which leads to...

Nettle, nickname Nelly, is switching places with Polly and going home with my breeding partner. I liked the way her type was developing better and felt she had a more even temperament. She's also the biggest pup and LH.

Lastly is Nougat, who is also SH. I'm a little bummed about that, as I always find solid black hamsters to be difficult to adopt out. Even though we have a wait list, a lot of people choose to pass because a solid black is "boring". Which is a shame because he's such a sweetheart.

Other than that, the pups are doing amazingly.

Lovely to see all the pups are growing well- and that mum is doing better too. They all grow so fast! It's really such a shame blacks don't get adopted more, it's the same with cats and dogs as well unfortunately

They're gorgeous! I can't believe how grown up they are looking already! Wow, pups sure do a lot of growing in those first three weeks.

I can't decide whether Nacho, Nougat or Starbucks are my favourite. They are all three just heart melting - not that the others aren't too. I don't know why those three in particular just call to me.

Surprised to hear that solid black pups are difficult to rehome. I think they are lovely, and you don't see many around so I assumed there would be a demand for him. I just think that solid black in particular is so striking! If I had room for another furry (and I was in Canada!) I'd take little Nougat off your hands I'm sure that anyone who sees him will fall in love with him, though. Nothing to worry about there.

Cuteness overload. Plenty Awws from me. Good to hear Starbuck has gained some weight.

Thanks everyone! The pups are growing fast, and need another cage clean tonight, haha. They're voracious little monkeys who have learned to climb the mesh and are so sweet. I like to hold them in my hand and kiss their little heads. They're so so sweet and just crawl right into our hands.

Starbuck has put on more weight, which I'm pleased about!

I've started trying to line up adopters to pups, which is always my least favourite job... I have people who want specific colours, or ask to wait for another litter, etc. etc. We vet all our adopters beforehand, and have about 50 people waiting, but it's slow going!

So cute with their little teddy bears! Nescafe doesn’t look like she wants to let go where did you get the mini teddies?
Glad to hear Starbuck is doing well

I got them from Atlantis Rattery, which is just west of me in Ontario. I think they can just be purchased online, but I haven't figured out where yet... I want more, haha.

The photos are just precious! I think they look cutest in these pics, all fuzzy and big headed. I love the little bears too. Glad to hear Starbuck is gaining a bit of weight
