I think I asked you this before but it got deleted with the server problems so sorry if you replied and I've not seen it or you explained on instagram and I've missed it but why did you call this litter the toasterpups?

Starbuck is named after Kara Thrace (call name Starbuck) from Battlestar Galactica.



The name fits her really well because of how sassy and silly she is.

The antagonists on the show are the Cylons, robots who were made my humans, and the humans refer to them as "toasters".

The pups are doing very very well and are already fond of humans and love interacting with us. They're sweet and quick as a whip and have sorted out the waterbottle.

They're growing well.

The votes cast the black male pup as Nougat.

They're doing very well, but Starbuck is losing condition. I've never had a mum lose condition before, and I assume it's due to her age (she's 1yr now). She gets pup supplements (baby food + esbilac) and tons of high fat/protein foods like chicken, peanuts, almonds, etc. Any suggestions would be great. I'm anxious to split them, however I'm hoping to see some improvement when she weans them in a few days. Starbuck is a stellar mum who gives her all to her pups, but I really don't want her to become at all impacted by this litter.



Little Nessa being a cutie patootie. I'm a bit flustered by this litter because I'd really like to place all the pups in breeding homes... but there is only me and one other hamstery (Hathor Hamstery) who are ready to breed, and I have an extensive waitlist. Shucks.



I'm debating breaking my "no loan females" rule for Miss Nettle though... she's the biggest and sweetest. Unless I have a good home I can place her with on my waitlist that would be suitable. She's very sweet and so far has quite nice type.



Nacho is still the littlest, but his dark golden colour is really nice. I think the first person on my wait list will likely want him. I have a few other people but they're waiting for LH, which I can't guarantee these guys are for another few days.

No real hunches on who has decided to be fluffy or not. Possibly Nettle?

She's as spunky as ever, but she's lost quite a bit of weight and feels slight. I'd like her to concentrate more on herself than her pups. I'm glad she's still in good spirits though, and I assume once they're weaned and then especially once she's split from them she'll put the weight back on. No concerns other than the weight loss, which I mean, is normal. Usually my mums just maintain it a lot better and she did just that with her first litter.
