Please Help! Moving hamster pups to a different cage?

I got my winter white hamster, Artemis, two weeks ago. A week later, she unexpectedly had seven pups. She has done a lovely job taking care of them and none have been abandoned or culled. It has been nearly a week and a half since the birth of the pups and I have since removed the wheel but otherwise left her to do her thing(besides food/water and letting her out to play).

Last night, I woke up to some noises that caused me to believe she was not in her cage. I was right. My cage bars are 1cm apart, and my theory is because I recently took away the wheel, boredom has gotten the best of her. I put a wire/fabric type playpen around her cage(while taking the metal cage part off) so she did not run about for the night. I did order a cage about a week ago(the Hamster Heaven cage) because her cage is just at the minimum floor space.

Now, the cage has arrived but the pups eyes have not opened so I am conflicted. Do I risk her chewing through the fabric on the playpen to not disturb the nest, or do I transfer her things to the bigger cage. If so, how do I go about doing this to reduce stress as much as I can? I'm not a breeder and I don't want to talk about something that I really don't know anything about. But I think this is important so I'm going to post and let's see if anyone with more experience can help you.

If not, I think that pups open their eyes about 14 days old. Maybe it would be best to wait because they should open their eyes soon.

Could you put the base of the current cage into the new cage and fill any extra gaps with substrate.

That would mean you wouldn't disturb the nest etc.

I wouldn't advise moving her or the pups till they are at least 3 weeks. She may well cull them if you did due to the stress.
I'd suggest getting some cardboard and using cable ties to attach it to the bars right round so she can't get out. Place the whole thing in a big box and hope she stays in there.
You could alternatively attach chicken wire all round for now.
When you move them you need to move all he dirty litter as well as the intact nest of you can. I would normally putthemin for playtime at around 18 days old and then back in the cage again. Put mum and pups in and see how it goes. If she settles with them you could leave them but if she looks very stressed then she needs to go back in the old cage.
I hope she manages OK. If she can get out then so can the pups so you must secure the cage.
