We are taming the babies quite intensively now. They need to be bombproof and friendly ready for their new homes and the more we handle the more used to it they get. Many are going to homes with children and for them to have the best life they can they do need to be tame. Although genetics play a part, nurture also plays a major part and we take this stage very seriously. This is a big litter and Pophammy and I spent over 2 hrs with them last night on their handling session... whew... it was torture as you can imagine! They have the apple playpen out now/
Mum shows the babies how to climb the arm to get out!

They catch on quickly

In the apple playpen

Tired out now!

Ooh adorable! They are really growing now! That does sound like hard work. Their faces look so sweet at the moment. They do look like mini adult hamsters now lol.

I wish I lived near you guys, I'd love to have one of those cuties! It's such a shame that the US has such few breeders around

Little play fights Hamsterita

Lovely to see them out having fun in the apple playpen and good to see Mum showing them the way

Poor Halloumi is going to need a spa weekend once these have left home 😂
She looks really well though - needs to give me a few tips as she's got 14 and looks a picture of health - I've got 2 kids and look haggered!!
