Re: New robo might be pregnant
Such a relief she isn't pregnant! Robo pups would have been cute, but there are enough unwanted hamsters in the world already.
Most pet shops are questionable with hamster care which is why I try and avoid them when possible or use my local pet shop that chooses not to sell animals.

Re: New robo might be pregnant
Unfortunately not all areas have rescues or breeders they can use. Pet Smart doesn't sell anything but mice now. A huge SPCA building opened yesterday, it was on the news so they are hoping that they will be able to rehome more pets & be able to take more rescue animals in as they have a larger building.
I like to rescue hammys but if I find one at a pet store I'll buy one too. They need homes too or people would have no place to get hamsters.
I wanted those hamsters (glad too) & they would have either been kept by me or gone to awesome homes

Re: New robo might be pregnant
I can't believe you did that! What if she were still due? You haven't had her 22 days yet and she could have been nesting ready. Pregnancy in robos can be up to 22 days.
Please never mess with the nest of a female on pregnancy watch

Re: New robo might be pregnant
You said you got her on 23rd March. Robo pregnancy can be up to 22days as they can delay implantation slightly. If she was just pregnant when you got her she could deliver up to 14th April. She's not a syrian who have a 16 days pregnancy.
If she had pups in the nest she was still disturbed Cinnamon Bear.
What is done is done.

Re: New robo might be pregnant
The different body shape could have been due to pouching food. Jasper looks very different when he has full pouches compared to when they are empty.

Rest assured I know my hamsters & I know what I'm doing
She probably had her litter April 6th or 7th & culled the litter.
