Re: The M17s have arrived!
So glad to hear MW is doing OK, she is tiny but it sounds as though she's doing her best to catch up!
They're all gorgeous pups.

Thanks all x
MW is doing really well; she's 15g today and is fairly independent. Macaroni and Minestrone are 25-27g. Matcha and Muesli are both 44g. And Molly is 46g.
Jubi isn't too interested in mothering them now, so that kinda stinks, but reaffirms my decision of retiring her. She was a great mum in the beginning, but not so much lately.
I'll be treading into any litters with Molly with trepidation, in hopes that she gained better maternity skills...!

Re: The M17s have arrived!
Perhaps you've mentioned this somewhere before, but how exactly do you come up with names for all these hams? There must be so many, not sure how you can keep up lol. Glad to hear they're all doing well

Good question! We go with coffee/drink/dessert/food related names. I go by litter letter - A, B, etc etc. Then I make running lists of names. I hope Q is a small litter as I don't have many names!
We've had;
Arabica, Americano, Amaretto, Almandine, Raggie (Random-Agouti) and Mini-Da (Soska)
Banana Split, Brûlée, Butterscotch, Brownie (Simba), Maggie, Nala, Ahuva, Jafita and Aya
Cadence (Cady), Coconut (Houdini), Chrysanthemum, Houdini, Orion, Creampuff (Petite Chu)
Dulce, Decaf (Smore), Toby
Eggnog (Hamlet), Echinacea, Espresso and Eclair (Oreo Douglas)
F was Uno, who passed shortly after birth.
Gin & Tonic (Ginny), Gherkin, Gus, Gumdrop
Huckleberry, Honeydew, Hazelnut
We skipped I.
Jubilee, Jack Daniels, Jolly Rancher (Hermione), Juju, Jaegermeister, Juice, Jarsleberg, Juniper, Jam (Archimedes), Jaffa Cake, Jalapeño, Jasmine (Piper), Jambalaya, Jello and Juneberry (Luna)
K was Bumble.
Then the L litter and of course now M.
where we have had name changes they're in brackets. Cady was ours but didn't follow the pattern.

That's very interesting! It has always been a bit of a curiosity of mine how people choose, but now it makes sense lots of lovely hamsters on that list!

Thanks! Not everyone does this the same as me, haha. I like giving them names though... it's much more personal than me saying "black banded girl" or what not. These guys are kinda like my family, so they deserve names - even if they get changed!
Pups are doing well today; Mini Wheat is up to 17g! I clipped her teeth again last night.
Hopefully, since we got her problem diagnosed early, we can get her to a good weight. Then she can be intubated, and her teeth removed safely. This will happen at the Pipsqueakery, but as Mini Wheat is our responsibility, Strong Brew will be paying any incurring costs.
