Penguin I often rescue pregnant Moms for people who are not wanting litters. I advertise and find them great pet homes. Pet owners just want tame and friendly so no history or back ground doesn't really cause them much alarm. Any buyer is alerted to the fact I can't claim any health situations but most have enjoyed their pup just as well.

Yes I was rather surprised at how well these girls are taking to motherhood. So far it is looking more and more like there are two Hairless pups as the rest (who have now all been seen) and total 8 pups are all looking Long haired which really makes the two naked pups stand out in the crowd. All are starting to peek through slightly open eyes. Waiting for all to have eyes fully open before pics are shared.

The Trumps are still hiding in the nest but I can hear and see movement in the nest so know they are still there.

What happens to the hairless ones then? Do they have further problems? And is this something that happens with inbreeding or will these hamsters be carrying hairless genes from way back? Sorry questions galore haha. The genetics of it all is so amazing but I haven't a clue about it!

That pet shop which sold the hamsters is clueless, so glad you took on all those hamsters to find them homes! Looking forward to baby pictures

The Trumps have started leaving the nest now and only six pups in that litter. There are 3 Black, 1 Sable, 1 BEC and the surprise in this litter is 1 REC. All are normal coated and 2 look Satin.

BluerayDarkes most Chain Stores around me are clueless but thankfully most are all Male stores. The sad News is the girls past owner called and her little darlings AKA kids let the Mother Hamster have a playtime with one of the Males. She said the kids freaked cause they started rolling about but then They Played???? together. She wanted to know if I thought they mated or if the rolling was actually fighting. Sigh, some people just don't learn nor watch their kids either.

Though I feel for these people even gave them old and well used bins I had I can not take on Mom if she is pregnant as I have my own breeding litter on the way and she is as big as a base ball and that is not using my imagination either.

My own litter arrived on Tuesday night and she is as expected being and excellent mom.
