The Nobrias - Hopeful for Metallica's First Litter
I said that I'd reveal about last weeks hamnapping in good time.
As some of you may have been aware, I brought Victoria home as a possible wife for Lord James, however hamsters can be awkward and the size difference between James and Victoria was rather large and I didn't want to risk a pairing with them at this moment in time. Vectis kindly offered to loan me one of her boys and last week CW StJ Nobby Nobbs came home with me. He and Victoria have been living in adjacent cages in the hamster room (away from the distractions of James and Jessie) and after both testing negative for diabetes, were paired today.
CW StJ Nobby Nobbs was bred at North Star Hams and lives with Vectis Hamstery. He came first in Normal Chinese at his last show in September and has a lovely temperament.
Miss Lilli-Victoria was bred at Lilliput Hams and has done well in her showing career so far. She was judged as having potential at her last show and has scored well on colour and type. She came first in Normal Chinese at her first show in July but lost out on another first placing to Lord James later that month.
I'm hoping that they'll produce some lovely pups and I will be expecting all normals from them.

Exciting! I did have to laugh at the idea of a small Victoria and large James the images of poor Victoria getting squashed! Glad StJ Nobby Nobs has come to the rescue. (Great name!)
